The Rochelle Center, Girl Scouts and Ford Motor Company Fund Team Up!

Thanks to the Ford Motor Company Fund and Girl Scout, Hannah Kimbro, we have a beautiful sensory garden located in our gated courtyard. Hannah presented the idea of a sensory garden to the Rochelle Center and the Ford Motor Company Fund for her Gold Award project. The Gold Award represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouting. Open only to girls in high school, this prestigious award challenges her to change the world—or at least her corner of it .

The sensory garden includes various herbs & flowers, benches, and fun & colorful garden accessories. The clients enjoy watering the plants and spending relaxing time in the garden. A few of the clients like the garden so much that they volunteer to water it on the weekend. Be sure to visit www.facebook.com/rochellecenter to watch how the garden is growing!
