Inaugural Pop! Goes Rochelle event is a huge success!

PamOn March 4th, at one of Nashville’s most prestigious new venues, the CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Rochelle Center presented a new and unique fundraising event, Pop! Goes Rochelle. This year’s show, “Hay Y’ALL! An All-Star Salute to Hee Haw”, was produced by and starred country music superstar, Pam Tillis. The show was a simulated taping of the Hee Haw television show including classic skits by Minnie Pearl, aka Carrie Tillis, corny one-liners in the cornfield and the fan favorite “gloom & despair” segment.

The cast included country music artists, Craig Morgan, Joe Diffie, Lorrie Morgan, the Grascals, Jim Lauderdale, Lauren Alaina, and the Warren Brothers as well as local celebrities, Mayor Dean and Channel 4’s, Tom Randles. The audience was surprised with special appearances from Charles Esten (Deacon Claybourne) and Chaley Rose (Zoey Dalton), from the hit ABC’s television series Nashville.
The show was a big hit and raised over $46,000 for the programs and services that the Rochelle Center provides to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Rochelle Center would like to express our sincere appreciation to the following people for all their hard work and dedication to making the first Pop! Goes Rochelle a huge success!
♦ Pam Tillis ♦ Troy Marden ♦ Eleanor Dicks ♦ Matt Spicher
♦ Rodney Dawson ♦ Andrea Farr ♦ Roxanne Coats McDonald
♦ Christy Watson ♦ Theresa Menefee ♦ Valerie Levay ♦ Phillipe Chadwick
