Our clients spend the majority of their days with Rochelle Center employees and it is imperative that they have the necessary train-ing and equipment to keep the clients happy, healthy and safe. To help employees do their best on the job, the Rochelle Center provides a wide variety of extensive training opportunities to new and seasoned employees including First Aid and CPR. According to the American Heart Association, AED defibrillators, in addition to CPR, have been shown in multiple studies to increase survival rates by more than 50 percent. While CPR is essential to maintain blood flow through the heart, AED defibrillators are imperative for maintaining a natural heart rhythm that can help pre-vent not only death, but brain damage as well. Thanks to the BC/BS Community Trust we were able to purchase AED units for all of our buildings and CPR kits for our vans. Now with the AED units readily available in our buildings and with a well trained staff, we are able to provide the safest environment for the individuals we assist.
