Hands on Nashville – Green & Healthy District 17 Initiative

HONlogoThe Rochelle Center was one of the non-profit agencies selected to participate in the Hands on Nashville (HON), This initiative aims to provide energy upgrades and education to foster a greener and healthier district.

HON arranged for professionals to conduct an energy audit on all three buildings and the result was that there were several ways that we could conserve energy enabling us to lower our utilities bills. HON and their volunteers installed programmable digital thermostats, caulked window, repaired roof and skylight leaks and replaced old lighting. We are now ready to stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer while saving energy and money.

The Rochelle Center would like to give a special thank you to Terry Kevlin, with Freeman Applegate Partners, who has gone above and beyond to help us though this project and make us more energy efficient.
